Register to Vote
Voters are encouraged to register at least 29 days before an election to ensure that they receive their voting materials. An online voter registration request form is available at the Secretary of State's website, or call the Registrar of Voters Office at 909-387-8300. Completed registration cards can be mailed to the Registrar of Voters; postage is prepaid.Please contact the City of Adelanto's City Clerk's Office for a Voter Registration card. The last day to register to vote to ensure receipt of a sample ballot for the November 3, 2020 municipal election is Monday, October 27, 2020.
Eligibility
You may vote if you're a citizen of the United States who is:- At least 18 years of age by the date of the next election
- A resident of California
- Not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony
Re-Registration
If you are registered in the County of San Bernardino you must re-register is you:- Changed your name (due to marriage or court order).
- Changed your political party affiliation.
- Moved to a new address.
Vote by Mail
Voting by mail is easy and convenient, there is no waiting in line on Election Day.Any registered voter may vote by mail. Voters may request a vote-by-mail ballot by completing the request form from the back of their sample ballot and mailing it to the Registrar of Voters. It is not necessary to wait for your sample ballot to request a vote-by-mail ballot. You may send a card or letter to the Registrar of Voters requesting which the ballot is to be mailed (if different than your residence) and you signature. A Vote-By-Mail ballot application can also be downloaded from the Registrar of Voters Vote-By-Mail Web Page.
