The Current Development Activity report includes information on development activities occurring, approved, or being reviewed in the City of Adelanto. The list do not show activities occurring in the unincorporated areas that fall outside the City’s jurisdiction.
The Adelanto Lewis Retail Center is a 12.5 acre retail shopping center project located on the corner of Highway 35 and Mojave Drive. The project will ultimately include over 54,000 square feet building area consisting of a car wash, multi-tenant retail stores, fast food restaurant and gas station.
The Adelanto City Center is a 19 acre Mixed Use project consisting of retail, medical uses, office space, a diagnoses clinic/urgent care facility, assisted living facilities, apartments, a Sheriff station, a 50 room hotel, City Hall, a senior center, an events center, and a library. The project also proposes a full intersection at Cortez and Highway 395.
At this time, a Preliminary Review has been submitted so that staff may evaluate compliance with City Codes and determine what entitlements and environmental review will be necessary. The site plan is below.
Cactus & 395 Center:
The proposed commercial center at the Southwest corner of Cactus Road and Highway 395 is planned to include a service station, a car-wash, retail space, a restaurant with a drive-through, and a Tesla Charging station.
The project was initially approved in 2008 and is in the last stages of plan check. The site plan is below.
